ಅಬ್ಭಾ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್! ಒಬ್ಬ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಿಗೆ ತನಗೆ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ಇದೆ ಎಂದು ತಿಳಿದುಬಂದರೆ ಅದೊಂದು ಜೀರ್ಣಿಸಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಆಗದಂತಹ ಆಘಾತಕರ ವಿಷಯ. ತದನಂತರ ಜೀವನದ ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಆಯಾಮವೂ ಮೊದಲಿನಂತಿರುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ಮಹತ್ತರ ಬದಲಾವಣೆಗಳು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭವಾಗುವದರಿಂದ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ನಿಂದ ಗುಣಮುಖವಾದವರು ಈ ವ್ಯಾಧಿಯಿಂದ ಚೇತರಿಸಿಲೊಳ್ಳುವದನ್ನು "ಪುನರ್ಜನ್ಮ" ಎನ್ನುವರು. ಫೆಬ್ರವರಿ ೪ ಪ್ರಪಂಚ ಕ್ಯಾನ್ಸರ್ ದಿನವೆಂದು ದಿನಪತ್ರಿಕೆಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಬಂದ ಬರಹಗಳನ್ನ ಓದುತ್ತಿರುವಾಗ ನನ್ನ ನೆರೆಮನೆಯ ಗೆಳತಿ ಜಾನಕಿ "ಅಯ್ಯೋ ಅದನ್ನ ಓದೋದು ಬೇಡಪ್ಪ! ಆ ಪದವೇ ತುಂಬ ಭಯಭ್ರಾಂತಿ ಮಾಡುತದೆ " ಅಂದಾಗ ನನ್ನ ಮನಸ್ಸು...
